Based out of Action Paintball in Rouse Hill, Sydney, Shock is one of the most dynamic teams in Australian paintball. With combination of experienced players and fresh new faces on their roster, Shock is an aggressive, in your face team.
Formed 3 years ago from the bones of a very successful Amateur team known as SWAT A, several keys players had left the team to either pursue family orientated lives or join other teams. Shock went from being a feeder team for Australia’s most dominant paintball team, Sydney SWAT, to being a powerhouse in their own right. They stepped up to the professional division, and after some restructuring has burst onto the modern scene with a bone in their teeth. Shock’s diverse line-up of unusually skilled characters guarantees you’ll be in awe of their skills on the field, as well as laughing hard whenever they are around.
Shock is determined to be the most successful 7-man paintball team in Australia. With stable mates like Sydney SWAT and the Division 1 dominating Apocalypse sharing the training facilities at Action with them, Shock is in a prime position to take a place in the front of the Australian Super 7 Series in 2006. With a willingness to eschew 5-man events to concentrate on the NPPL-style 7 man events, you can bet that the foot won’t come off the gas for the 06 season.
On any given Sunday you can find them out at Action, honing the skills that have seen them take 1st at the 2005 Auckland Queens Birthday Tournament, 3rd at the 04 SPPC, and a quarter final placing at Skyball in Canada in 03, in addition to helping other Action teams like Apocalypse and Factory 2nds with their development.
The team also pride themselves on representing their sponsors at tournaments, and to new players wanting a taste of paintball at the best field/pro shop in the country. They realise that new blood is what is needed to make the sport grow, and are always on hand to answer questions from the new guys.
